We've entered the last 20% of the parking lot project. The original project was scheduled to finish by the end of June. As per typical construction projects, ours has run over. Here is the work that remains:
  • Railings: a site visit and measurements were done this week. Fabrication, inspection (by our engineer) and installation remain and will take weeks to complete. As a result, our completion timeline is August, with the risk of pushing into September, as the entrance, sidewalks and ramps cannot be cleared for use until these steps are completed.
  • The FBC team is in regular conversation with our engineer and the project manager from Associated Paving. All appropriate pressure is being applied to see this project through the finish line.
  • Maintenance hole cleaning and parging - to be completed this week.
  • Clean up of curb markings (orange spray paint, scuff marks from construction)
  • Repair to west entrance bottom door trim following completion of walkway pavers.
Items completed in the last week:
  • Repairs to section of asphalt at east entrance to accessibility ramp.
  • Installation of Accessible parking and other directional signs. and clean up of curb markings.
Stay tuned to upcoming information about future design and planting days for new garden spaces.
A special thanks to the tireless Building and Grounds crew for taking on the task of regularly watering the new seeded-topsoil around the perimeter of the parking lot.
Our collective faithfulness in prayer for this project is required. Thank you for yours.
In Him,
Bryan, Ronald and Paul.
