Despair: The feeling that there is no hope and that you can do nothing about your
difficult or worrying situation.
Hope: A confident expectation that God will fulfill His promises to us, and a sense of
trust in Jesus and His saving work.

C. Acquisition: Finding Hope in the Midst of Despair
1. Recognize that there is hope.
2. Access the means to find hope.
3. Live within the warm embrace of hope.
4. Bow before the one who died to bring us hope.
